Maldives completed a flawless campaign to lift the inaugural SAFF Futsal Championship. The round-robin tournament gave South Asia's men's national teams a new title competition alongside the established continental AFC pathway.
Staging the men's and women's championships together created a broader regional platform for players, coaches, referees and national federations. Maldives finished the programme as the only men's team with a perfect record.
