Serbia beat Hungary 10-7 in the men's European Championship final before a home crowd in Belgrade Arena. The hosts controlled the decisive phases and completed a tournament in which they had also beaten Hungary earlier in the competition.

Greece claimed bronze with a 12-5 victory over Italy, earning its first European medal. The podium therefore combined Serbia's established continental record, Hungary's long-standing elite status and a new milestone for Greece.
