SG Pipers defeated Shrachi Bengal Tigers 3-2 in a shootout after the Women's Hockey India League final ended 1-1 in regulation time. The title match was played at Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Astro Turf Hockey Stadium in Ranchi.
Captain Navneet Kaur, Juana Castellaro and Lola Riera converted for the Pipers, while Bansari Solanki made three shootout saves, including a penalty stroke. Navneet was later recognised as player of the tournament after helping turn the team from the previous season's last place into champion.
