Altenberg crowns Europe's skeleton champions
Matt Weston took the men's title while Susanne Kreher and Axel Jungk delivered Germany's first European mixed-team skeleton gold.

Britain's Matt Weston combined European Championship gold with his fifth World Cup victory of the season at Altenberg. The championship was embedded within the IBSF World Cup stop, making the same runs count toward both international classifications.
Germany's Susanne Kreher and Axel Jungk won the mixed-team event, the first European title in that discipline for the pair. The format joined one women's run and one men's run into a single team time.
