Sweden defends the women's bandy world title

An unbeaten Swedish team defeated Norway 9-1 in Pori to retain its place at the top of the women's world championship.

Sweden beat Norway 9-1 in the women's bandy world championship final after leading 3-0 at half-time. Tilda Ström scored a hat trick and Edit Ljung added two goals in the title match.

The victory completed an unbeaten tournament and successfully defended Sweden's 2025 crown. The outdoor championship placed ice conditions, team depth and tournament recovery at the centre of a week-long international schedule.
