Bauers and Mitchell homer as Brewers take 3-0 NLCS lead
Back-to-back seventh-inning home runs helped Milwaukee beat Los Angeles 6-2 in Game 3 on 14 October.
Milwaukee defeated Los Angeles 6-2 at Dodger Stadium on 14 October 2026 to take a 3-0 lead in the National League Championship Series. Jake Bauers and Garrett Mitchell hit consecutive home runs in the seventh inning after the Dodgers had moved ahead.
Jackson Chourio opened the game with a first-pitch home run off Blake Snell, and Robert Gasser held Los Angeles scoreless for five innings. Will Smith's two-run double in the sixth then gave the Dodgers a 2-1 lead and briefly changed the direction of the game.
Milwaukee responded immediately. After Andrew Vaughn walked, Bauers completed an 11-pitch plate appearance with a two-run homer. Mitchell followed with another home run, making it 4-2. The Brewers added runs in the eighth and ninth, while DL Hall and Trevor Megill helped close out the victory.
Milwaukee moved within one win of the World Series, but the best-of-seven NLCS was not yet decided. The official MLB recap and independent final reporting corroborate the game and series position. This Game 3 result is a material new stage after the first two games, not a repeat of either earlier victory.
