Boston defeated San Jose 6-3 at SAP Center on 13 October 2026. Charlie McAvoy scored in his season debut, Fraser Minten scored twice and Jeremy Swayman stopped 35 shots as the Bruins extended their winning run to three games.
Minten opened the scoring before Jacob Trouba equalised. Matthew Poitras and Pavel Zacha then scored to give Boston a 4-2 advantage at the second intermission.
Macklin Celebrini cut the margin to one on another San Jose power play early in the third. Minten's second goal re-established a two-goal cushion, and Will Borgen added an empty-net goal. Celebrini and Stenberg each finished with a goal and an assist.
The Bruins improved to 5-2-0, while the Sharks fell to 3-3-0. The result and principal performances are confirmed by the NHL's final report and AP's independent recap. McAvoy's return and Stenberg's first goal belong to the same underlying game report rather than additional separate match stories.
