Eliud Kipchoge won the men's marathon at the 2026 Melbourne Marathon Festival on 11 October, finishing at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in 2:09:10.
The official World Athletics results place Australia's Thomas Do Canto second in 2:10:35 and Reece Edwards third in 2:14:33. The event timing service records the same top three and gun times.
Reuters and ABC reported that Kipchoge's performance lowered the event record. This report records the completed men's race as one development and does not split the podium positions into separate items.
