Jepkosgei breaks Cardiff record as Kiprotich completes Kenyan double
Joyciline Jepkosgei won in 1:05:40 and Gideon Kiprotich took the men's race in 59:34 at the 2026 Cardiff Half Marathon.
Joyciline Jepkosgei won the women's race at the Cardiff Half Marathon on 4 October in 1:05:40, improving the course record by 12 seconds. Gideon Kiprotich won the men's race in 59:34, completing a Kenyan double in the elite contests.
The organizer recorded Wede Kefale second in the women's race in 1:05:54 and Tigist Tesema third in 1:07:23. Yismaw Dillu was runner-up to Kiprotich in 1:00:18, while Jonah Rutio placed third in 1:01:13. World Athletics' completed result page independently confirms the men's classification and winning mark.
