The International Hockey Federation released a television audience report for the combined 2026 women's and men's World Cups on 15 October. FIH reported a total audience of 403.3 million across live coverage, highlights, delayed transmissions and repeat broadcasts. That combined measure should not be described as 403.3 million different people or as a live-only audience.

According to the federation, India represented 30 per cent of the reported total, with Latin America and China accounting for 15 per cent each. The Netherlands, Germany and Pakistan were also identified as prominent markets. FIH said the total was twice the combined television audience reported for the 2022 women's tournament and the 2023 men's edition.

FIH linked its distribution strategy to a stronger emphasis on free-to-air television, intended to make coverage accessible without a paid subscription. It identified GSIQ as the agency providing the audience report. These remain figures released by the governing body, not an independently audited count established by iintroo. The disclosure concerns television distribution, separately from social-media or streaming engagement measures.
