Adam Lipschitz of South Africa won the men's race at the 103rd Košice Peace Marathon on 4 October, while Ethiopia's Aberash Fayesa led the women's race. World Athletics lists their winning marks as 2:07:22 and 2:21:55 respectively.
Abednego Cheruiyot was second in the men's classification in 2:07:53 and Moses Kemei third in 2:08:04. Nurit Ahmed placed second among women in 2:25:04, with Tecla Kibet third in 2:29:57.
The organizer's same-day results corroborate the winners and podium order but list both winning marks one second faster than the World Athletics results. iintroo therefore uses the World Athletics marks and discloses the one-second source difference rather than silently choosing between them.
