Toyota's No. 8 wins the 2026 6 Hours of Fuji
Ryo Hirakawa, Sébastien Buemi and Brendon Hartley converted a late fuel-only stop into Toyota's first home FIA WEC victory since 2023.
Toyota Racing's No. 8 TR010 Hybrid won the 2026 6 Hours of Fuji after a fuel-only stop under the final safety car moved Ryo Hirakawa into the lead. Hirakawa held off Alpine's Victor Martins in changing conditions to complete the victory with Sébastien Buemi and Brendon Hartley.
The No. 36 Alpine of Martins and Jules Gounon finished second, while the No. 15 BMW completed the Hypercar podium. Team WRT's No. 32 BMW won the LMGT3 class with Augusto Farfus, Sean Gelael and Darren Leung.
The result was Toyota's first FIA World Endurance Championship win at its home circuit since 2023. The next championship round is the 6 Hours of Barcelona on 18 October.
