Hakan Ertürk

Life and work

The story behind the role.

The Türkiye Tennis Federation's official Management Board page, reviewed on 13 October 2026, identifies Hakan Ertürk as federation vice president and supplies an identity-labelled portrait.

Born in Ankara in 1977, Ertürk graduated from Ankara University’s Faculty of Political Sciences in economics in 2000, completed an MBA in finance at the University of Illinois in 2006–08, and earned an Ankara University doctorate in business administration in 2018 with a dissertation on venture capital.

His public-sector career began at the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye in 2000. The federation biography records service as a Treasury Controller from 2000 to 2006, Internal Auditor from 2009 to 2011, head of a financial-instruments and market-development department from 2011, and General Director for Financial Markets and Foreign Exchange from 2016. It also records his leadership of the Central Finance and Contracts Unit from August 2019 to August 2021, a return to the general-director post in August 2021, and later executive roles at Etki Yatırım and the Turkish Red Crescent.

The same source records board or committee service with the Credit Guarantee Fund, Development and Investment Bank of Türkiye, European Investment Fund’s Türkiye Growth and Innovation Fund, and—beginning in October 2024—the finance commission of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. These changing appointments are reported as historical or dated rather than assumed to remain current.
