Mehmet Türkmen is listed by the Turkish Football Federation as an Istanbul-region top-class referee. The federation’s 2026 appointment announcements identify him as a FIFA-badged official and document assignments in European youth and club competitions.
On 24 March 2026, TFF announced his appointment to UEFA U19 European Championship qualifying matches in Albania. A further announcement on 7 July assigned him to Borac against Levski Sofia in UEFA Champions League qualifying. TFF’s 21 July notice named him for Zeleznicar against Braga in Conference League qualifying on 22 July.
