The story behind the role.
Guardiola came through Barcelona’s academy and played as a central midfielder in Johan Cruyff’s first European Cup-winning side. He later returned to the club as a coach and won the treble in his first senior season.
He went on to manage Bayern Munich and Manchester City, adapting his methods across leagues while placing technical detail, collective positioning and continuous learning at the centre of his work.
