Manchester City complete Semenyo signing
The Ghana international moved from Bournemouth on a contract running to 2031.
Source publication date:
Manchester City confirmed Antoine Semenyo’s arrival from AFC Bournemouth on a five-and-a-half-year contract. The twenty-six-year-old Ghana international joined Pep Guardiola’s squad with an agreement extending to 2031.
Semenyo had made 110 appearances across all competitions for Bournemouth after joining from Bristol City midway through the 2022/23 season. His earlier development included loan spells with Bath City, Newport County and Sunderland.
City confirmed immediate availability and eligibility for the forthcoming League Cup semi-final first leg against Newcastle. The announcement established a completed transfer, rather than a reported negotiation; no fee is inferred from the club’s statement.
