France's Pierre Violon finished fourth at 1.11 seconds, missing third place by a single hundredth. The positions from third through fifth were decided within five hundredths, although Larsson held a larger advantage at the head of the classification.
The completed slalom followed the Courchevel giant slalom on the preceding day and concluded the meeting's two technical races. Matt returned to a European Cup slalom podium after winning at Kranjska Gora earlier in January. Larsson's Swedish victory came in this new final result, ahead of competitors representing Italy, Austria and host France.
