The final result
Eveline Rohregger won a second consecutive women's European Cup giant slalom in St. Sebastian on 12 January 2000. The Austrian finished in 2:02.09, 0.69 seconds ahead of Sweden's Martina Fortkord. Selina Heregger was third at 0.97, again giving Austria two places on the podium.
Slovenia's Tina Maze finished fourth, 1.05 seconds behind Rohregger and just 0.08 behind Heregger. Spain's María José Rienda Contreras placed fifth at 1.89, followed by Switzerland's Lilian Kummer at 2.02. The top six represented five national teams, with Rohregger retaining first place despite a different runner-up from the opening race.
The result completed the pair of separate women's giant slaloms on the official St. Sebastian programme. Rohregger had won on 11 January in 2:03.99; her repeat victory came from this new race classification, not from an overall two-day total. Heregger also repeated her third place, and Maze repeated fourth. Fortkord's second-place finish was the principal change among the leading positions.
