The final result

Ron Spanuth won the men's interval-start freestyle race at the FIS Junior World Ski Championships in Štrbské Pleso on 25 January 2000. The German skier finished in 25:37.8, 23.5 seconds ahead of Dmitri Tichkine. Evgueni Stepanov placed third, 59.1 seconds from Spanuth, completing the leading three in the official final classification.

Sweden occupied fourth and fifth through Mats Larsson and Johan Olsson, whose gaps were 1:04.5 and 1:18.9 respectively. Finland's Jussi Ylimäki followed in sixth at 1:24.0. Spanuth and Tichkine were separated from the next podium position by more than half a minute, while Stepanov finished only 5.4 seconds ahead of Larsson.

The race was part of the junior championship programme at the Slovak venue, ahead of the freestyle sprint finals on 29 January and the classical interval events on 30 January. This report records the completed 25 January race, with the finishing time and gaps preserved from FIS.
