Athletics Ireland’s February club feature examined Ace Athletics, founded in County Louth in 2018. The club reported roughly 150 members, predominantly young athletes, and outlined its ambition to establish a permanent home on an eleven-acre site.

The profile described youth development alongside international opportunities for emerging runners. Eimear Cooney and Lorcan Forde Dunne had competed in a high-school invitational mile in Boston, where Forde Dunne finished seventh in 4:12.35.

Club representatives connected the proposed venue to the practical needs of an expanding membership and a more stable training base. The federation’s account also highlighted inclusive participation and the support required to help young athletes progress through local and national competition.
