Adelaide defeated Melbourne United 87–76 at John Cain Arena to return to first place in the NBL standings. The victory followed a difficult sequence in which the 36ers had lost five of seven games, including a one-point defeat in Illawarra.

Nick Rakocevic contributed 20 points and 12 rebounds while making eight of nine field-goal attempts. Zylan Cheatham added 19 and nine rebounds, Bryce Cotton scored 17 and Flynn Cameron supplied 13 points and eight assists. Adelaide built an 18-point final-quarter lead before Melbourne rallied.

United reduced the gap to three with less than two minutes remaining, but Adelaide scored ten of the final twelve points. Chris Goulding led Melbourne with 18 despite a knee concern, as United remained fifth at 18–12.
