Source publication date:
Carlos Alcaraz attended Miami Premier Padel for a second consecutive year after his tennis tournament ended with defeat to Sebastian Korda. Before returning to Europe, he visited the Convention Center and watched matches from the front row of the VIP stands.
FIP President Luigi Carraro, Premier Padel chief executive David Serrahima and Miami tournament director Fernando Belasteguín welcomed the tennis world number one. Alcaraz greeted Arturo Coello, Agustín Tapia, Mike Yanguas and Franco Stupaczuk before taking his seat beside Carraro to follow the competition.
Alcaraz said he had recently begun playing padel and exchanged jokes about teaming with Jannik Sinner against Coello and Tapia. He identified Grigor Dimitrov’s touch and Alexander Zverev’s height and smashes as qualities that could make fellow tennis players effective padel opponents.
