Mirra Andreeva defeated Solana Sierra 6–0, 6–0 in fifty minutes to begin her Indian Wells title defence. The eighteen-year-old recorded her one-hundredth WTA main-draw victory, becoming the youngest player to reach that milestone since Coco Gauff at the 2023 Australian Open.

After a pre-match delay to replace a broken net, Andreeva controlled every phase of the contest. She won fifty-four points to Sierra’s twenty-one, converted six of nine break chances and saved all four break points she faced during one opening-set service game.

The result was the first women’s 6–0, 6–0 match at Indian Wells since Victoria Azarenka beat Magdalena Rybarikova in 2016. Andreeva also delivered the season’s first tour main-draw double bagel and advanced to a first meeting with Katerina Siniakova.
