Anisimova overwhelms Raducanu in fifty-two minutes at Indian Wells
The American lost only two games in a dominant third-round win.
Source publication date:
Amanda Anisimova defeated Emma Raducanu 6–1, 6–1 in fifty-two minutes to reach the Indian Wells fourth round. The world number six levelled their rivalry at two victories each and returned to the tournament’s last sixteen for the first time since her 2018 debut.
Anisimova struck twenty-one winners compared with Raducanu’s two, using powerful returns to create space and control the British player’s positioning. She won seventy-three percent of points against Raducanu’s first serve and converted five of seven break opportunities in a consistently one-sided contest.
Her own serve also remained effective: Anisimova won eighty-six percent of first-serve points despite landing sixty percent of first deliveries. She credited stronger commitment to her game plan and greater self-trust for recent form, advancing to a first meeting with Canada’s Victoria Mboko.
