Anthony wins inaugural Olympic women’s dual moguls
The Australian beat Kauf 20–15 in the final after missing the individual moguls podium.
Source publication date:
Jakara Anthony won the first Olympic women’s dual moguls title in Livigno, defeating Jaelin Kauf 20–15 in the final. Elizabeth Lemley took bronze after beating Perrine Laffont in the small final, completing the event’s inaugural Olympic podium.
Anthony recovered from disappointment in the individual moguls competition, where she had led qualification and the first final but missed the medals. In duals, she progressed through the head-to-head rounds and crossed the line ahead of Kauf in the deciding race.
Both finalists used cork sevens on the first jump and backflips on the second, but Anthony’s overall performance earned the higher judging total. The victory added a dual moguls Olympic gold to the Australian’s existing individual title from Beijing.
