Athletics Ireland launches shared online learning hub
World Athletics helped develop resources for coaches, athletes, officials and volunteers.

Athletics Ireland announced a new e-learning platform created with World Athletics. The service brings online courses, educational resources and webinars into a central hub, with members able to create a free personal profile and access material from both organisations.
The learning areas cover coaching, athlete development, club development and officials’ education. Women in sport, inclusion and disability are also included, with resources intended for parents, volunteers, administrators and club leaders as well as active competitors.
Coach education manager Conor Wilson said the platform would support continuing development at a time and pace suited to users. He highlighted the value of expert webinars and current coaching materials, and acknowledged World Athletics’ Stephanie Eagle for helping develop the service.
