Jan Hoerl and Daniel Tschofenig won the men’s Super Team World Cup in Lahti for Austria. Their six jumps produced 858.6 points after the partnership recovered from an opening position of eighth and moved into the lead midway through the competition.

Slovenia’s Domen Prevc and Anze Lanisek took second with 836.8 points. Finland’s Niko Kytosaho and Antti Aalto finished third on 805.3, overtaking the German partnership in the final round to deliver their country’s first World Cup Super Team podium.

Tschofenig had earned his place by winning Saturday’s individual event. Hoerl had previously partnered Stephan Embacher for Olympic gold, so the Lahti result extended Austria’s success with a changed lineup before the circuit continued to the Norwegian venues.
