Charlotte Bankes and Huw Nightingale won Olympic mixed team snowboard cross in Livigno, earning Great Britain’s first Winter Olympic title in a snow sport. Italy’s Lorenzo Sommariva and Michela Moioli took silver, while France’s Léa Casta and Loan Bozzolo won bronze.

Nightingale finished his section fourteen hundredths behind the leading French team. Bankes then passed Casta on the inside and held the lead through the rest of the final, converting the British pair’s strong position into gold.

Moioli recovered from a 0.66-second deficit to move Italy ahead of France for silver. The British victory added Olympic gold to the world championship title Bankes and Nightingale won together in 2023.
