Barcelona defeated Mallorca 3-0 to retain first place in La Liga. Robert Lewandowski, Lamine Yamal and Marc Bernal scored at Spotify Camp Nou, with Bernal registering his first goal for the senior team after recovering from a lengthy injury absence.
Mallorca initially made Barcelona work to find space and threatened on the counter-attack. Lewandowski broke the deadlock after half an hour, converting the rebound from Marcus Rashford’s effort. The goal also moved the Polish striker into Barcelona’s fifteen leading scorers of all time.
Yamal added the second before substitute Bernal completed the scoring with an individual move. Barcelona’s three-goal victory strengthened their position in the title race ahead of Real Madrid’s next match at Valencia.
