Barcelona Women defeated Sevilla 4-1 at Estadi Johan Cruyff, registering the club’s seven-hundredth victory across the top two divisions of Spanish women’s football. Before kick-off, Pere Romeu’s team presented their recently won Spanish Super Cup to the home supporters.
Kika Nazareth opened the scoring in the 24th minute with a looping effort. Sydney Schertenleib doubled the lead after Caroline Graham Hansen’s cross, giving Barcelona a two-goal advantage at half-time despite Sevilla also striking the crossbar during the first period.
Salma Paralluelo extended the margin after the break, and Kika added her second goal in the 73rd minute. Alba Cerrato scored a late consolation for Sevilla, leaving Barcelona with a comfortable league victory.
