Barcelona announced that its women’s team would return to Spotify Camp Nou for the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final against Real Madrid. The match was scheduled for 2 April at 6.45pm local time, with tickets available through the club.
It would be the team’s first appearance at the stadium in more than a thousand days. Their previous game there had been the European semi-final against Chelsea on 27 April 2023, during a season that ended with Barcelona becoming continental champions.
The club accompanied the announcement with a video featuring players discussing their experiences at the ground. It also recalled the 91,648 attendance for an earlier Wolfsburg match and encouraged supporters to return.
