Source publication date:
Jairo Bautista and Lucas Campagnolo defeated Coki Nieto and Jon Sanz 6–2, 6–0 on the second day of Cancún P2. Their victory removed the men’s fifth seeds and secured a round-of-sixteen place before the four leading partnerships began their campaigns.
Pol Hernandez and Guille Collado also produced an upset, beating sixth seeds Martin Di Nenno and Momo Gonzalez in two tiebreak sets. The partnership continued a strong start to the year that already included two CUPRA FIP Tour titles and a last-sixteen appearance in Gijón.
The next programme introduced the women’s seeds, with Brea and Triay facing Jessica Castelló and Lorena Rufo, and Sánchez and Ustero meeting Marta Barrera and Jimena Velasco. Chingotto–Galán, Stupaczuk–Yanguas and Coello–Tapia were scheduled in order during the main court’s afternoon session.
