Bayern eliminate Leipzig to reach German Cup semi-finals

Bayern Munich advanced to the German Cup semi-finals with a 2-0 victory over RB Leipzig at the Allianz Arena. Harry Kane and Luis Diaz supplied the goals in the second half, ending a goalless first period and deciding the quarter-final.
Kane converted a penalty in the 64th minute to put Bayern in front. Diaz added the second three minutes later, turning a tight contest into a clear home advantage. Vincent Kompany subsequently introduced fresh players as Bayern managed the remaining stages.
The result was Bayern’s third victory over Leipzig during the season and secured a place in the final four. A capacity crowd of 75,000 watched the home side continue their cup campaign with a clean sheet.
