The IBU’s Biathlon 4 All activation welcomed more than one thousand Olympic Family guests during Milano Cortina. The development department operated the activity between 8 and 22 February near the Olympic Family Lounge, giving visitors a practical introduction to target shooting.
Participants used Kiwi Precision laser rifles from approximately six metres, aiming at electronic targets. Tablet software reset the targets and displayed shooting times, enabling informal competitions without requiring live ammunition or access to the Olympic range.
An impromptu contest between Johannes Thingnes Bø and Joshua Kimmich attracted two million Instagram views, according to the IBU. Martin Fourcade, Ole Einar Bjørndalen and Jürgen Klopp also participated alongside officials, event staff and volunteers during the Games.
