Archery Canada appointed Junior Bolaños as national coach for its Olympic programmes. The federation said he would support national athletes, programme planning and technical preparation as Canada develops its performance system toward international competitions and the Los Angeles 2028 cycle.
Bolaños brings more than 20 years of coaching experience across recurve and compound. He previously held national leadership roles in Venezuela and Argentina and most recently worked with Chile’s Olympic, Paralympic and youth pathways. He also serves on international coaching and development committees.
High performance manager Kylah Cawley described an initial transition period to learn Canada’s systems while assuming programme leadership.
