Alessandra Bonora won the women’s 400m at Ostrava’s Indoor Spike meeting in 52.41. The Italian finished one hundredth outside her indoor personal best, beating Veronika Drljacic, whose 52.46 established a Croatian national record.
The Challenger meeting represented a marked improvement from Bonora’s 53.57 seasonal opening in Magglingen. FIDAL noted that her existing 52.40 best placed the twenty-five-year-old fifth on Italy’s indoor all-time list for the event.
Vladimir Aceti finished second in the men’s 400m with a seasonal best of 46.82 behind Matej Krsek’s 46.63. Paolo Messina also improved his 200m personal best to 21.02, adding another Italian progression to the federation’s report from the Czech competition.
