The Australian Boomers announced a return to Perth for a July double-header in FIBA World Cup Asian qualifying. RAC Arena will stage the meetings against Guam and the Philippines, bringing the national team back to the city for the first time since 2019.

Guam were scheduled to visit on 3 July, followed by the Philippines on 6 July. NBL's report described the games as Perth's first international FIBA fixtures, adding another national-team programme to the arena's established domestic basketball calendar.

Australia led Group A with four wins from four matches when the announcement was published. Perth Wildcats guard Ben Henshall welcomed the opportunity to represent the Boomers in Western Australia, while the qualifying campaign continued towards the 2027 tournament in Qatar.
