Paula Botet described rediscovering her enjoyment of biathlon after failing to secure a World Cup place in the French selection races. In a new IBU interview, the twenty-five-year-old said recovering that enthusiasm had been her initial aim when she returned to the secondary circuit.

She found motivation in the depth of the French squad, while acknowledging that competition among teammates could also be demanding. Wearing the leader’s green bib brought excitement after its return in Ridnaun, and points accumulated through Osrblie helped her navigate a more difficult closing period.

Botet identified excessive pressure and attempts to control every outcome as lessons from the season. She wanted to trust her preparation more and continue pursuing a regular World Cup position.
