Botn closes rookie season with Oslo mass start victory
Clean shooting beat Nawrath as Perrot completed his collection of four season globes.

Johan-Olav Smoerdal Botn won the men’s fifteen-kilometre mass start in Oslo with twenty clean targets and a time of 37:15.6. The Norwegian ended his rookie World Cup season as he had begun it, becoming the third man to win both opening and closing races.
Philipp Nawrath also shot clean and finished second, 3.7 seconds behind. Eric Perrot took third despite two penalties, trailing by 13.7 seconds, and secured the mass start season title on 305 points against Botn’s 236 to complete four Crystal Globes.
Botn and Nawrath left the final standing stage together after their clean shooting. The Norwegian moved away during the last loop, while Sturla Holm Laegreid finished fourth after one penalty.
