Alexa Brabec won the women’s provisional competition round ahead of the Nordic Combined World Cup finale in Oslo. The American jumped 126 metres, the longest distance of the session, and collected 111.3 points in conditions affected by fog and limited visibility.

Norway’s Ida Marie Hagen followed in second with 103.4 points from a 121-metre jump. Ingrid Laate also reached 121 metres and scored 100.6, placing third and giving the host nation two athletes in the leading group.

Thirty athletes representing nine nations took part after two training jumps. The provisional result established Brabec’s strong position before the season’s final competition, whose scheduled jumping round was still to be followed by the cross-country race that determined the combined winner.
