Nantes defeated Group A winner Berlin 37–34 as the men's Champions League group stage concluded. Thibaut Briet scored thirteen goals and Ignacio Biosca made twelve saves, helping the French club finish fourth ahead of Veszprém and Sporting.

Kielce claimed third place with a narrow 27–26 victory at Kolstad, extending its winning run to six matches. Aalborg overcame Veszprém 38–33 after turning a four goal deficit into a half-time lead through an eight goal unanswered run.

Sporting beat Dinamo Bucuresti 30–29, with Francisco Costa scoring the decisive goal. Berlin's Mathias Gidsel finished the group phase as the competition's leading scorer on 120 goals. The completed rankings established the play-off pairings for the next stage.
