British Judo launches a Patron’s Club with a ten-thousand-pound pledge
The initiative will raise support for athletes, coaches and grassroots participation.
Source publication date:
British Judo launched a Patron’s Club to increase long-term financial support across the sport. Chair Gerry Gualtieri pledged ten thousand pounds as its first donation, establishing a fundraising initiative intended to support athletes, coaches and clubs from grassroots participation to international competition.
The club will work with the British Judo Trust, directing contributions towards accessibility, adaptive judo, talent development and other opportunities affected by financial barriers. Membership is offered at bronze, silver and gold levels, with contributions beginning at one thousand pounds.
Patrons receive recognition and opportunities to attend events, meet athletes and observe training activity. The federation presented the launch as a way for individuals and businesses to contribute to sustainable development, with the charitable trust providing the structure through which the support will be delivered.
