Source publication date:
British Judo opened applications for the 2026 Level Three Award in Coaching Judo. The programme will use three face-to-face teaching blocks at SKK Judo Club in Newton-le-Willows, with online modules between them and a broad approach to technical, tactical, physical and psychological coaching practice.
Teaching is scheduled for 30–31 May,11–12 July and 26–27 September. Candidates must be at least twenty and hold a first Dan grade, with appropriate prior coaching qualifications. The course costs six hundred pounds for federation members and 650 pounds for other eligible applicants.
The federation encouraged early applications and suggested discussing possible support with regional or club officers. The course is intended to develop practice across different participant groups, rather than restricting entry to coaches working with elite athletes, and forms part of its wider education pathway.
