The Dunlop British Open Masters was scheduled for 3–7 June alongside the PSA tour’s Diamond-level British Open in Birmingham. Solihull & Arden Squash Club and West Warwickshire Club were named as the Masters venues, connecting age-group competition with the major professional tournament.
The event was open to men and women aged thirty-five and above, with categories extending from over-thirty-fives to over-eighties. Consolation plates were also included in the programme, giving entrants further competition opportunities within the established British Open Masters structure.
Entries were due by 18:00 BST on Friday 15 May. The PSA announcement directed players to the event entry system and noted that tickets for the professional British Open were also available. It described the Masters championship as the oldest established tournament within masters squash.
