Britton’s late equaliser earns Weston point at Worthing
Two closing goals produced a 1–1 draw.
Source publication date:
Weston-super-Mare drew 1–1 at Worthing after Louis Britton equalised in the final minute of normal time. Worthing had taken the lead seven minutes earlier through Remeiro Moulton's shot from outside the penalty area during a strong second-half spell.
Max Harris made several important saves for Weston, including efforts from Moulton and Brad Dolaghan. The visitors also created opportunities, with Scott Wilson shooting over and Luke Spokes narrowly missing from a free kick before the break.
Weston's equaliser followed a move involving George Robesten and Jason Pope. Goalkeeper Josh Jefferies could only push Pope's cross towards Britton, who finished from close range. Neither side found a winner in added time, leaving the teams with a point each.
