Organisers unveiled the logo, visual identity and slogan for the Budapest 2027 World Aquatics Championships at the MVM Dome on 26 June 2026. The presentation marked one year until the championship’s planned opening.

Budapest is due to become the first city to host the championships three times, after 2017 and 2022. The MVM Dome was identified as the venue for swimming and water polo. World Aquatics said the competition would also serve as an Olympic qualifier.

World Aquatics President Husain Al Musallam, executive director Brent Nowicki and Hungarian Swimming Federation President Sándor Wladár discussed hosting experience and youth development. This is a completed 2026 planning milestone for a future championship, with no 2027 results yet implied.
