Cauwels shares MSquash approach to junior development
The World Squash Talk report connected coaching, education and college recruitment in New York.
Source publication date:
Katline Cauwels described MSquash’s junior development approach in a World Squash Talk report published in February. The former Belgian professional founded the New York academy with Shaun Moxham in 2018, combining squash training with education and preparation for opportunities in college sport.
The academy serves 250 juniors each week through a programme that includes priority court time, study space, online schooling options and college recruiting guidance. Its coaching philosophy places perseverance, teamwork and personal development alongside results on the court.
Thirty-eight MSquash players had been recruited by leading American schools since the academy opened. Cauwels presented those pathways as one measure of the programme’s impact, alongside the continuing connections that former players maintain with their coaches.
