Charlie Caton joins Hartlepool from Accrington

Hartlepool United signed Charlie Caton on loan from Accrington Stanley for the rest of the 2025/26 season. The 22-year-old forward completed a medical and agreed terms before joining Nicky Featherstone's squad to strengthen its attacking options.
Caton developed at Shrewsbury and later established himself at Chester, scoring 26 goals in 79 National League North appearances. He joined Accrington in January 2025 and had made forty appearances across league and cup competitions there.
The striker said Hartlepool's support, facilities and ambitions appealed to him, with Featherstone clearly outlining his role. The manager highlighted Caton's scoring record and senior experience, expressing confidence that he could contribute immediately during the remaining campaign.
