Chester beat Bedford Town 2–1 after scoring twice in the final stages of an away match. The visitors had trailed to Josh Castiglione's first-half header before Phil Croker equalised and Fin Shrimpton completed the comeback during added time.

Chester created early opportunities through Pat Jones, Lewis Leigh and Tom Peers but fell behind after a corner in the 31st minute. They continued searching for a response after the break, with substitute Declan Weeks forcing a save from Rohan Luthra.

Croker headed in Shrimpton's cross with three minutes of normal time remaining. Michael Kelly then delivered a low ball into the area, and Shrimpton finished off the underside of the crossbar to secure a dramatic away victory.
