Chester under-19s defeat York in three-goal contest
A second-half winner secured a 2–1 victory and narrowed the gap to third.

Chester's under-19 side beat York City's under-19s 2–1, scoring the decisive goal shortly after the visitors had equalised. The result left Chester fourth in the table and two points behind third-placed Blyth Spartans with two games in hand.
York had an opportunity to lead in the first half through a penalty, but the goalkeeper saved. Chester opened the scoring in the 51st minute before York answered seven minutes later with a composed finish.
The hosts regained their advantage in the 62nd minute through a powerful shot from the edge of the area. York searched for another equaliser and Chester threatened on the counter, but the home team protected their lead to collect three points.
